Plastic Tubing
Plastic tubing of various lengths and bores constructed of materials suitable for general laboratory, biopharmaceutical, food and beverage, medical, vacuum, low-pressure, high-pressure, cleanroom or environmental applications. Products may be chemical- or corrosion-resistant. Formulated for resistance to flex fatigue and abrasion, plastic tubing is more flexible and less permeable than rubber tubing.
How Is Plastic Tubing Used?
Flexible plastic tubing may be used as transfer lines for contamination fluid control, hydraulics, protective jacketing, vacuum pump and diaphragm pump feeds and discharges, refrigeration, water and fluid lines, food and beverage, instrumentation, research laboratories, agriculture, material handling, air and gas lines, chemical lines and pharmaceuticals.
Types of Plastic Tubing:
• PVC: lightweight and flexible, will retain its bore on bending and can be sterilized up to 121°C
• Silicone: ideal where a hard-wearing material is needed, including transfer of liquids or higher temperature environments
• LDPE: good for general low pressure and temperature, instrumentation, corrosive atmosphere, and food processing
• PTFE: has excellent chemical-resistant and temperature-resistant properties
• PE: flexible, lightweight, durable, and corrosion resistant, used for a wide range of liquid, gas, and fluid transfer applications
• FEP: clear, small-diameter tubing, the economical choice for chemical resistance and broad temperature exposure
• PEEK: high-performance polymer with mechanical and chemical resistance, and highly resistant to thermal degradation

Applications: Pharmaceutical, biotechnology, aerospace, food and beverage, and general lab applications. Characteristics: Platinum-cured, excellent heat resistance, low compression set, odorless, nontoxic, translucent. Certification: Elastomer is FDA-compliant (21 CFR 177.2600) and meets USP Class VI; exceeds 3A Sanitary Standards. Tubing is manufactured according to GMP. Temperature range: -58 to 446¿F (-50 to 230¿C) Sterilize: Autoclave or gamma irradiation.

The overall length of Viton 97628-series stop tubing is 12" (304 mm). The legacy Ismatec stop tubing was 180 mm long.

Accuflow Systems TPE Tubing
Purity One™ OneFlex Biopharmaceutical grade TPE tubing has been formulated for demanding and critical fluid transfer applications in Biopharmaceutical processing. Cole-Parmer Thermoplastic (SEBS) Tubing, 1/16" ID x 3/16" OD; 50 Ft
Designed for the most demanding biopharmaceutical applications, the thermoplastic SEBS (styrene-ethylene-butylene-styrene) tubing exhibits superior gas barrier properties and excellent pressure performance. Use the tubing in peristaltic pumps, single-use assemblies, process filling, and sampling devices.
Thermoplastic (SEBS) tubing does not contain BPA, phthalates, PVC, or peroxides that can leach out into the fluid, making it ideal for pharmaceutical applications, buffer and media preparation, and cell media processing. For an added level of particle control, a liner is placed between the tubing package and the box.
